Dominique Salm was born in Jamaica in 1972 where she spent her early childhood before relocating with her family to Hampshire. She has always been passionate about art and wildlife and after completing an illustration degree, combined her love of both to build a reputation both nationally and internationally as a skilled wildlife artist.
Dominique has painted a wide range of animals and birds working from both personal preference and commissions. Her skill lies in the ability to capture the unique character and nature of each subject in the predominantly earthy palette which gives her work its distinctive style. She works mainly in watercolour using a bold approach that lends itself well to the scale and nature of her paintings.
